Hello, I'm Mitch!

I'm 27 years old and from Canada, and I'd describe myself as pretty easygoing and accepting. Definitely approachable and down to chat as well.

I'm still pretty new to world travel, but it's something that I've made more of a priority in the last few years, and something I want to continue to do. It's definitely very addicting to meet people with different mentalities and opinions, and there is something about travelling and getting first hand experience of a place and people that can never be duplicated in a book.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard about it from many people, so I thought it was time to make an account. I'm also currently travelling in Europe this summer (2016), so I figure I can perhaps stay at a few places! I also really enjoy the idea of couchsurfing and meeting real people from different countries. You are able to hear their story and ideas on topics, something a hotel or many accommodations completely removes.

Interests

I think I try to balance my interests out between physical and mental things, but nothing beats walking or hiking outdoors I think! Good coffee or a good drink are of course great as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Quite a huge range of things to choose from in these categories. For books I'm interested in both fiction and non-fiction, and I especially enjoy books related to language learning, or written in the language I'm trying to learn.

I'm quite into movies as well, and I'm a big fan of the directions Werner Herzog, Kurosawa, and Nicholas Refn.

If you ask me about any of these topics I'm sure I'll chat quite a bit about the topic!
