About Me

Hello, Hello! I'm a slackliner and rock climber originally from south Florida, USA. For the past 4 years, I've been living and working in Yosemite National Park, California mostly during the summer months. It would be an understatement for me to say that the lifestyle of exploring, living, working, and playing in a National Park for the majority of the year is probably the Happiest and Greatest thing ever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had a couch surfing account for about one and a half years, but for the first time this winter, 2016-2017, will be taking advantage of it throughout several countries in Europe during a 2-4 month trip!! Last winter season I left my country for the first time ever and traveled throughout Nicaragua. I met some of the most interesting and fun people while creating experiences that will never be forgotten. After my Europe trip, I will be heading back to Yosemite National Park for another ~7 months of living. Yosemite is a huge attraction to foreigners, so I am highly looking forward to hosting guests in the future in one of the most magnificent (and certainly one of my favorite) places in America! If you've made it this far, I hope you have got to know me a little better and aren't discouraged that I'm new to CouchSurfing :)

Interests

Wilderness first response and wilderness Medicine is my most recent interest, and as time goes on and I learn more, I becoming fascinated in a career in Search And Rescue in Yosemite and similar extreme front/backcountry environments. My other biggest interests are nearly everything involving the outdoors! To narrow that down, slacklining and rock climbing are equally my two most favorite activities... ever! For me, Yosemite is the best place to live during the summers because it can facilitate everything I love to do. Not to mention the small amazing community we have of seasonal workers from around the globe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very open to music, unless it involves any screaming, and I like a very very very small amount of country music. Haha. Although I think Bluegrass and Acoustic music is super rad! More Stephen King books/novels and many books from both the past and present generations of Yosemite's famous rock climbers are high on my tick list that I NEED to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a certified Open Water Diver and also a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am by far most looking forward to learning about the lifestyles of local people in the places I pass thru on my travels. I believe that the stories I hear about and experiences I help create with people are the most important take aways from traveling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share my interests and the experiences I've had with people through my exciting activities and lifestyle :)

Countries I’ve Visited
