About Me
**Disclaimer**
Pls read through the whole 'my home' section - include the closest metro station in your request so I know you've read it :)
By the way, we get a lot of requests and can't respond to them all, so we may have a low response rate. But, we will definitely reply to a thoughtful request!
**Disclaimer**
I'm a robotics engineer, and Indy is a teacher, we live together with our roommate Tommy!
We love film, literature, the outdoors, sports, live gigs and going to the pub with friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Christopher McCandless of Into the Wild fame said two things which both struck a chord in me;
"Happiness only real when shared" and "the core of man's spirit comes from new experiences".
I want to explore the world, meet new people, and experience the side of a place that you can only get through the eyes of a local!
We are hoping to meet nice new people from around the world and form great friendships through cultural exchange. We love to show people why we think Sydney is one of the best cities in the world and so we look to host curious people who like the beach, nature and a relaxed lifestyle.
On the other side, we enjoy staying with other people and learning why they love where they live!

Wide taste of music and enjoy something from nearly all genres, some of our favourite artists would be; Armlock, Loyle Carner, DIIV, Fontaines DC, Fred Again.
Movies and TV:
Four favourite movies right now are La La Land, Fantastic Mr Fox, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On and O Brother Where Art Thou.
Books:
My favourite book is Dracula and Indy's favourite book is Giovanni's Room. We've got a pretty extensive library which we are happy to share and discuss!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to an elephant sanctuary in Thailand where rescued elephants were rehabilitated (no riding or elephant abuse was carried out here) and was able to have lunch overlooking a family of bathing elephants which was a pretty awe inspiring experience.
Going to put more than one teehee, hiking into the Grand Canyon and up Angel's Landing in Zion NP were breathtaking.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
How to cook kangaroo steak :P
Learn:
I want to learn about your opinions on the world, more about your community and culture and what makes your life different to mine! Also if you wanna teach me guitar that would be fun :)
