About Me

CURRENT MISSION Mindfulness of the world and myself

ABOUT ME Formerly a naval meteorologist and resident of Tokyo, Japan. While I was in the Navy, I traveled extensively around the West Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Australia. As it stands, I’ve been to over 30 counties. Now, I’ve “settled” somewhat and am finishing my studies in Urban Planning as a graduate student at the local university.

Always wondering where I fit into this crazy world. I'm an aspiring Science Fiction writer, spontaneous hiker, seeker of the world's best guacamole, and a firm believer in finding the adventure rather than waiting for it to arrive on my doorstep. Ideally, I would be a nomad and live between countries. Seems I'm only sane when there's road between me and my next destination.

Hoping to make CS a long term investment. So many countries to see, friends to laugh with, traditions to experience, languages to learn, foods to taste, and so little time. My ultimate goal is to make everyone love Phoenix and Arizona as much as I do!

Cheers!

PHILOSOPHY "I don't know where I'm headed, but I'm on my way."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING When it comes to the 'Wild West,' I have an insurmountable love for her empty deserts, snowcapped peaks, forested valleys, her warm culture, and Adobe cities. Nothing quite like it elsewhere. The Southwest is something I would like you to experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE The random invites I get through CS are the cherry on top for me. Meeting people and sharing a drink is awesome but being invited to go hiking in the mountains or drive around the country are what I live for in CS. It's those spontaneous trips that make this site so unique and truly eye-opening to the good that exists everywhere and in everyone. I hope to return the favor!

Interests

Looking for long conversations and jokes to bust my sides. Pub crawls and museum-hopping. Hikes by night. Spiritual awakenings and paradigm shifts .
