I'm Mitch: 29 year old Aussie travel addict. I'm heading back to USA (one of my favourite countries and one I really want to get to know better) along with Mexico, Cuba and wherever else I end up over the next three months.

I'm an easy going guy, easy to get along with and I love meeting new people and learning more about the world. I'm a coffee snob, don't mind a casual drink over the weekend and I can't get enough warmth and sunshine in my life (hence the perfectly timed three months out of Australia!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've only ever booked hostels, hotels and a couple of Airbnb. This time I want to go maximum adventure and of course lowest cost. I want to meet more people and to get to know them and their way of life in their respective countries better. I'm traveling less for the sights and more for the experiences and interactions this time around so I'm looking forward to meeting as many amazing people as possible!

Interests

New experiences, history, culture and technology. I enjoy cooking more recently and I want to get better at it. I love a drink (being Australian and all!) but I handle it well. My occupation is in liquor retail so I like to appreciate a good wine or bourbon but enjoy just as much slamming a shot at the bar! I'm mad for coffee and sunshine. A perfect weekend for me is spent at the beach, lying on the sand and sipping good coffee, with an evening of casual drinks with mates.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like electronic/dance music (but couldn't dance to save my life). I'd love to say I'm a big book reader but unfortunately that Kindle I had such high hopes for is sitting in a draw somewhere - TV at the end of a big day always wins that one :/
