Hi everyone! I'm Mitra. I did my bachelor's in psychology and Master's in professional counseling in Malaysia. I am currently doing my internship in Kuala Lumpur and will be here until the end of May 2025. I love experiencing new things and learning about different people and cultures. I enjoy walking on the streets and watching the world go by, tasting new foods, smelling new scents, and embracing unknowns... Generally, I am warm and friendly (these are others' feedbacks, I hope they are true;)), always ready for an adventure and up to having long, deep, meaningful (and witty) conversations... let's meet up and see if I match the feedback I received ;)))

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

There is a huge difference between staying in a hotel/ hostel room and staying with people who know the place, live there and can give you some fascinating perspective of that place... I like to experience a new place more as a local rather than a tourist... I like to know every little secret about the area ;) I prefer to eat in a small cosy local cafe rather than a touristic fancy restaurant... I like to explore the hidden treasures ;) Besides, it provides me an opportunity to get to know the culture and traditions more, as well as finding friends wherever I go... that's how the place will be memorable forever...

I have an unquenchable thirst for learning and experiencing new things... I am in love with nature and believe that it can teach me more than any courses or universities...but at the same time I'm quite into reading and studying (like all other researchers?!) ;)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have volunteered with palliative care nurses to ease the journey of people in their end life. Facing death in the eyes was quite a life-changing experience for me. But to make it more fun and travel-related, I loved traveling from Thailand to Malaysia, and particularly the night boat part of this journey😁

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach you Farsi (if anyone is interested;)) and Persian style cooking, share my passions about research and psychology, and the brain. I know how to print on clothes (linoleum printing). What else? Let's find out :)

I can cook, I can help with household chores, I can give them counselling sessions (joking ;)), I can print stuff on their clothes, I'm quite useful in general:)))
