About Me
Hey guys! I'm an American student currently working on my Master's in Translation Studies in Heidelberg, Germany. I hope to work as a professional translator one day but until then I'm enjoying student life and trying to see as much of the world as I can. Outisde of school I enjoy hiking, biking, and developing my own photos.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always enjoy getting local tips in a city I'm unfamiliar with, and there's no better way to do that than couchsurfing! It's great to take a break from typical tourist activities by just hanging out with someone who knows their way around. Beyond the lodging benefits, couchsurfing is a great opportunity to get to know cool people who I never would've met otherwise.
My small room unfortunately keeps me from hosting, but I have plenty of free time to show people around Heidelberg and hang out!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I once spontaneously couchsurfed with 3 friends in Strasbourg, France, after we met a fellow couchsurfer at a music festival. It was a great experience, and i subsequently signed up myself and couchsurfed on a trip through the Low Countries.
Interests
My biggest interest is in learning about other cultures, especially those radically different from my own. I'm also a language nerd who can be fascinated by even the dullest linguistics article.
