I'm not a big fan of writing 'about me's', whether it's on social networks or couch surfing, because I feel as if it kills the allure of meeting someone for the fist time and being able to form a first impression without any expectations.
I genuinely try to be nice to everybody I meet, because I think if we all tried, the world would be a very nice place to live.
I admit I live in dreams,
but I believe we all do.
Most of us just don't live in our own dreams,
that's the difference.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
traveling is not the concept of fulfilling pre-packaged commercialized tourist expectations, but the opportunity to get out of our usual surroundings and learn about ourselves and discover not only new surroundings, but also new parts of ourselves.
thank you couch surfing for:
Sailing in trieste, beach bars, uniquely decorated couchsurf-basements, enthusiastic italian basketball games, laughs, farmer outfits, other laughs, overnight wanderings accross inexplicable mazes, getting car-stuck between tiny houses, cooperative italian ladies,
picturesque italian churches, skies that look painted, cemeteries, isolated ponds, inimitable spiritual yogis in goa pants, italian landscapes, apricots plucked fresh from the branch, meeting strangers, sharing ideas, hearing stories, vegetarian cats, tale-tellers,
varnishing bikes, crumbling autumn leaves, the seine at nighttime in complete silence, hidden coffee houses, quite french music, pastries, a search for words to describe beauty, exhilarating bike rides, black coffee at 5am, sunrises in empty streets, clicking cameras, exhaustion and confusion, beauty and tranquility, impressive architecture, adorned balconies, talks and walks, used book stands and time machines, waking up in paris with coffee and cigarettes and being surrounding by great music, books and elephants,
late night talk on sheepskin rugs, stealing candy at art exhibitions, riding around berlin on a wonderfully worn-down bike, amusing discrepancies in big cities, empty airport landing spaces, drinks and chats, lights, melting pots, turkish shops, bunkbeds, travel books,
amsterdam at nighttime, golden reflections on still canals, dutch parties, the colorful spirit of africa in brown brick houses, rushing through amstermdam on bike carriers, chocolate chip cookies, running to train stations, amsterdamchinatown, exploring diagon alley
