ABOUT ME
I am horrible about comforting people and giving advice

Too late for such regrets.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only been a couchsurfer once, but I had an amazing experience! I can't wait to be more active!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a new-comer with no actual Couchsurfing experience but I have long heard about many of my friend's awesome experiences and I wanted to be able to experience it for myself.
Interests
Food is a big part of my life and who I am - although I am a horrible cook, I really enjoy going in search of my next big bite -- whether it's soondae (stuffed intestines) or a nice flaky pastry. I love to listen and hear about different people's lives and adventures. I love to learn languages and even though I currently only speak English fluently, I'm excited to keep learning more and more, even if it's just a few simple phrases.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a notorious lover of many things Disney and Pixar -- not all things Disney, but some. Two of my favorite films are Lilo & Stitch and A Bug's Life.
I also love my cheesy romantic comedies like The Proposal.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day, as I entered the metro, I heard a woman beside me sing in the clearest, most beautiful, softest opera voice I have ever heard. I was dumbstruck and goosebumps formed on my arms. After she finished, she went around to collect change from other passengers. I was speechless. For the next few hours, I could not help but replay in my mind, how hauntingly beautiful her voice was.
Entering the Sacre-Coeur Cathedral is easily one of the moments that left me awestruck. From the outside, the building is beautiful. But as you enter, the alter and the ceiling will take your breath away. I choked on my own spit because of how amazingly gorgeous the ceiling was.
Teach, Learn, Share
Growing up in San Jose, CA, I didn't really realize the bubble that I lived in. Moving to Berkeley, I was exposed to many different perspectives, experiences, and knowledge that I had never known.
The world is so large that there is no possible way that any single individual's experiences and life can possibly represent a city, country, or people.
Through Couchsurfing, I'm hoping to be exposed to different cultures and perspectives, and slowly by slowly, keep piecing myself together -- becoming more aware of my privileges and of my own identity.
