About Me

[Read till the end to get the secret code ;p]

Hi,
It feels a bit weird accessing my Couchsurfing profile after a few years of the pandemic. Some things have changed but some remain the same.

Anyway, I am an open minded 31 yo Indonesian and currently living in Yogyakarta after living overseas for a few years. It might sound too pessimistic but I am living my dream already. I have ticked most of my wish lists which are not that ambitious but quite meaningful for me. Catching hustle and bustle of life would be endless so I would rather be following where the flow directs me.

People might expect that I am a kinda shy person, which is true. Well, I am an utterly introverted shy person. I am less talkative because I love to listen more than to speak up. Being quiet does not mean that I am not interested in things I am facing or do not care about others. It just takes some time to heat up the conversation. See my references to know what people think about me.

I love to visit new places, like everybody does, especially natural and historical sites. Since I am studying environmental science, I am getting into everything about nature, forests, etc. I am also into Photography (not an expert, tho)!

I enjoy a wide range of conversations, from a deep talk on the meaning of life to cultural differences. For me, having different views from others is not a bad thing and I don't mind having different opinions. That won't make me feel mad or dislike someone. Instead, these differences are what make people beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to know other travellers and make an unforgettable friendships. I hope in CS I can make new friends, changing ideas, cultures, and languages. It's all not about free accommodation, moreover, it's about friendship and mutual learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not reading books and watch movies that often so I might not be a good person to talk with about books and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel to Europe by myself, more than 40 hours on the way. maybe its not that amazing, but for me, because it was my first time, it became something unforgettable.

Idk is it counted as amazing thing or not. But somehow I feel proud of it and once I thought it was impossible for a mediocre person like me. I got into Oxford University after lots of ups and downs. I also have started a conservation project to protect wildlife in the rural area of Indonesia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very keen in learning new languages and I can also share languages I understand (English, Indonesia Language, Malay, Japanese), my travel experiences (trip to 15 countries), and definitely my smile.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Basically I can share anything, but not to toothbrush and underwear. I can share my languages that I understand (Indonesia language, Japanese) and cultural exchange. I would love to know global languages and cultures.
