ABOUT ME

I am basically a big teddy bear. I am big, 260 lbs, but I really just want to be everyone's friend. I love science, so I am into the nerdy stuff that goes along with that such as star trek. I currently live in Honolulu, HI and I love it there. I am on sabbatical now and I want to travel around and meet people and learn about their culture.

PHILOSOPHY

Hard to describe. I guess above all be kind. I also like to think about why the world works the way it does. Like always analyzing. I think that is more of a philosophy than an interest, so I put it here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am traveling and I want to meet people. I do not think I am going to exactly couch surf right now, but I want to meet friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a girl on a bus to Tartu, Estonia who told me about this site. I really enjoyed talking to her and learning about how local people live and the stories like how she talked about the Soviet occupation. She in general is very shy and I would never have met her in like a hostel or at a bar. She recommended this site. I am following her advice.

In that note, I want to meet with people to chat and learn about your culture outside of being drunk at a bar, or what you read in the descriptions in a museum.

Interests

Above all science and art. For science, the physical sciences mostly. Not too much into biology unless it is a super cute animal. For art I mostly like painting especially French Impressionism.

I like to drink, but I am more of a talker than the club type.

music, popular stuff like what is on the radio. I like the typical guy movies and some sci fy. I really like historical fiction books. Jeff Shaara is my favorite author

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is going on right now, but taking a semester off at the university and traveling, Europe and then to New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan.
