About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make new friends, see new sights, have great conversations, to find other people with my sense of humor, but most importantly to be surprised by what the world has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 26 year old comic-artist and freelance illustrator just getting off my feet and I've moved into the Portland, Oregon area to start life anew.

I'm a pretty quiet guy on first impression, I'm not typically a conversation starter. But give me just about any topic, and I'll be ready to discuss. I try to find the humor in just about any situation (seriously, any) and I typically look for people with an equal capacity for laughs.

At the same time, I love in-depth conversation, (whether that be philosophy, science, art, religion, history, you name it)there are very few topics that don't interest me. If you have something compelling to talk about, you couldn't find a better person to share it with.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is weird, there's not really much else I have to say on it. I just do the things that feel most natural to me and try and break through the things that don't.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting people, that's the main goal for me. I don't have a couch, though I do have a crappy air mattress and a lawn chair, (yeah, pretty spartan scenario here) so if you need a place to stay, those are your options. My main desire is really to talk and hang out, wherever that may be. Bars, I guess? There's a lot of them where I live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't had any yet. But I'm dying to do something!

Interests

Comic Books: Not so much super hero stuff, I'm into books like Asterios Polyp, From Hell, Nausicaa of The Valley of The Wind, and Akira.

Movies: Anything by Sergio Leone or Stanley Kubrick, but also hilariously bad movies like Trolls 2 or The Room.

Video Games: Fighting games like KOF XIII or Street Fighter 3, but also stuff like Dark Souls.

Philosophy: Mostly Nietzsche at the moment.

Science: All of it, but Particle Physics and Cosmology really get my interest.

Music: The Jam and consequently anything featuring Paul Weller, genres of interest include anything but Pop and Country.
