About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Aprovechar de mis últimos meses en Chile! Aprender, compartir, vivir!
ABOUT ME
Well, for starters, I'm a living, breathing, sentient being, which I feel is a great state to be in! I'm in love with the Earth, so I do everything in my power to take care of her and her other inhabitants. I'm an avid guitarist with a penchant for hiking/camping. Music and the outdoors have been, and continue to be, nothing less than integral parts of who I am. Sometimes you can catch me reading a book or two as well, although time does have its limitations.
I think that conversation is a beautiful, powerful thing, and laughter is crucial for survival!
I'm working on learning more about myself and others, which I believe is a life-long mission. So let's get started!
PHILOSOPHY
"Follow your bliss."
-Joseph Campbell
"Be here now."
-Ram Dass
These two statements pretty much sum up how I'm trying to live right now, and I think they're good guides to go by. However, to each his or her own!
Personally, I feel that community is an incredibly important thing. Living in simple harmony with the other people and beings that make up our biological community called Earth is something worth striving for. This space is shared and this time is sacred, so a holistic, symbiotic lifestyle based in equality and togetherness is the one for me!
In other words... Live, Love, Respect, Share, Enjoy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently traveling, so I've no couch to lend, but I'm super excited at the prospect of being hosted and in turn hosting others in the very near future! Having a roof over one's head and cozy bed certainly helps in the process of bouncing around from town to town.
This fall I will have a wonderful apartment in the gorgeous town of Burlington, VT. Swing by because the door will be open!

Music, Movies, and Books
I haven't seen too many movies or read enough books, but The Dharma Bums and Ishmael are some powerful favorites.
Tunes: Guster, Sufjan Stevens, Joni Mitchell, The Band, Tom Waits, Paul Simon, Warren Zevon, Andrew Bird, Bob Dylan, Ted Leo, Neko Case, M. Ward, Phish, Neil Young, The Strokes, Laura Veirs, Josh Ritter, Talking Heads, and lots lots more. I'm always open to trying out something new!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Torres del Paine, Patagonia. Holy smokes! Four and a half days in the sheer overwhelming beauty of nature.
Teach, Learn, Share
In terms of specifics, I'll happily teach guitar to anyone who wants to learn. I've also got a mean granola recipe that I'd love to share! Tengo una pasión para aprender (y enseñar, cuando puedo) el español, también!
I'm interested in learning about people's experiences: Who they are, what they've done, what language they speak (and maybe some pointers on how to speak it!), what they eat, and so on. Everybody's got a story to tell and something to share.
