Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met some very nice Couchsurfers in Berlin who encouraged me to become active on this site, as the community is about much more than just couches. I haven't done any sleeping on couches or offering of couches, but would like to in the future. I am currently traveling around the US and trying to save money wherever possible on accommodations but don't have friends in every city. I was reminded of Couchsurfing and decided to give it a shot.

Interests

I am currently working full time on a project related to human rights in youth residential facilities. My work involves gathering and integrating information about such facilities as well as investigating and networking with like-minded people. My travel essentially revolves around these activities and its an opportunity for me to meet the people I work with face to face.
