About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to travel and experience different cultures through meeting new people

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and I study biology and French at the University of Denver.
I'm studying abroad for a year in Angers, France. My study abroad experience has caused me to meet so many cool and interesting people, and this inspired me to want to meet more people from all over the world to share cultures and enjoy life, preferably over a good coffee, beer, or wine (whichever comes first).
I played classical violin and piano for a long time, but now I play mostly for fun when I get the chance.
I like to have a good time, whether that be going out on the town or staying and talking in someone's apartment-- laughing is very welcome.
I am a person who loves hearing other's stories, and while I may seem shy at first, I enjoy talking and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

As cliché as it sounds, I try to live my life in the moment without any regrets. This means doing what I enjoy doing and being with people who I enjoy being with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to continue meeting with the couchsurfers in Angers, and if anyone visiting the city would like to meet for coffee or drinks, I would love to meet up. I would also like to meet couchsurfers in other countries during my travels, because I know it's a great way to really experience the culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to CouchSurfing and have heard a lot of wonderful things about it from my friends here in Angers. I went to a meeting recently with a lot of great CouchSurfers, and thought, "These people are really great! I want to hang out more with people like this!" So here I am!

Interests

I enjoy running, skiing, playing, biking, tennis, and being active in general.
I love science, so any nerdy science jokes, cool information, or random science philosophies are ALWAYS welcome!
I enjoy speaking French, and am always looking for opportunities to improve it.
I have also had a recent, and random interest in fairy tales, so if you know some good ones, or want to hear any, I would be happy to share!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, though I have trouble memorizing names of songs or bands. My favorite band is Panic! At the Disco.
I also enjoy seeing a lot of different types of movies, from anime to action to romantic comedies to "artsy."
As far as books go, I really do enjoy all genres, though I haven't perused much in the mystery/ political department. I very much love Jane Austen, and I love books that make me laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently went on a trip with some friends to Morocco, and the whole trip was amazing! It was the first time that I've visited a country with a completely different culture, and as I drank delicious Moroccan tea with wonderful friends, while looking out over the sea and Spain, I couldn't think of a time better spent.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things to share:
US and French culture, some science knowledge, a good laugh, and an open mind.

I want to learn more about other cultures, as well as other people's backgrounds.

Countries I’ve Visited
