About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much as I can and learn about the same. Finding a suitable place to hang my hat.

ABOUT ME

I am a student of biology with a focus on microscopy and cytopathology. I enjoy playing music. I enjoy learning about the world in general. Hiking is nice. Exotic knowledge is intriguing to me. I collect an obsessively large amount of literature and vinyl. Moving pictures are nice. I enjoy viewing and creating art (although not executing it all the time). Fine spirits and food pairings.

PHILOSOPHY

Tempered emotions and balance coupled with lifelong education and investigation make for a happy existence.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've never had the opportunity to participate in the site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed once on my way to Italy to visit my girlfriend. I flew into Munich and stayed with Helge. He was very nice, had good accommodations and helped me learn to navigate the city a lot better than my first days experience. I stayed for three days and almost a fourth when I missed my train... Great times.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Kubrick, Jarmusch, Charlie Kaufman, Jacob's Ladder, Cloak & Dagger, various guilty pleasures and Remo Williams.

Music: Mahavishnu Orchestra, Rein Sanction, Mars Volta, Tool, Pixies, Throwing Muses, QOTSA, ambient stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once helped build a 135' linear wooden bridge over a 40' deep ravine in the "jungles" of Costa Rica.

I've seen every Shuttle to lift off the pad at Cape Canaveral since the inception of the Shuttle program. These are always thrilling.
