ABOUT ME

I was born in Texas. I have two nephews. I teach English in a public school in Martvili, Georgia. In my free time I cook, read, write, and try to get out into the hills as often as I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed with some great folks on my own travels and when I have my a stable address, I offer my couch to surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed with several wonderful hosts all over the United States, Australia, and Europe, and I have hosted in Houston, Texas, Madrid and León, Spain, and here in Mart'vili, Georgia.

Crossed the Outback by thumb. I met amazing people and learned about Australia. The milky way every night in the Outback sky is definitely high on the list of amazing sights.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I am always interested in hearing other couchsurfers' stories. I will also help any couch surfer who wants to improve their English--it's what I do! From hosts and from surfers I have tried a lot of local delicacies and learned a lot of new recipes: lentils and cassava from my hosts in Fiji, Rakia from Macedonian surfers here in Madrid, the best Scotch when I was in Pittsburgh, PA, and barbecue in Adelaide, SA!

Now that I am living in a small town in Georgia, I most enjoy sharing this beautiful place with the intrepid travelers who make it out here: the VII C. monastery, the gorgeous local canyons, and the famous Mingrelian cuisine.
