Hello at our profil. (Michael and Agnes)

Agnes is teacher for sports and spanish. Michael sells austrian machines for woodworking to South America.

Since about 6 years we are together and form a friendly, easy going and peacful couple, as our friends would describe us.
Family and friends are important for us, in contrast we do not give a lot for wealth and superficial luxury goods (cars, cloths,...)

We live in a small village with 1.800 inhabitants in Upper Austria next to the German border.

During studies, Agnes spent half a year in Granada in Spain and Michael half a year in Helsinki, Finnland.
This was our first real international exchange which made us interested for more...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We spent 7 months in Chile, South America. During this time Michael worked on his master thesis in Concepcion and Agnes practiced her spanish as technical translater for different foreign experts.
Already during the time in Concepcion we got in contact with a lot of international people where we already heared a lot of CS.

After our great experiences in Sout America we are offering our couch and looking forward to support somebody during there trips. But as we are situated in a really non touristic region nobody has contacted us so far. :-(
Also the CS community is not very active in our surrounding.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After our time in Concepcion we travelled 2 months in Chile, Bolivien, Peru and Brasil where we made our first experiences.
CS was working really well in Chile and somewhat in Peru and Brasil due to the response of hosts.

We exclusively had great experiences and many nice and impressive moment with our hosts. Thanks to all your HOSPITALITY!!!

兴趣

Sports: hiking, football, skiing, juggling. We prefer outside-sports and try to jog 3-4x a week.
Since last year we started to use our bikes instead of our car for our daily way to work. (13km for Michael and 23km for Agnes one way)

Food (cooking and eating, especially sweets for Agnes :-) We really like cooking together. We have made some typical austrian dishes for our friends in Chile. What is really special is that we also have sweet main dishes. (E.g: Kaiserschmarrn, Palatschinken, Apfelstrudel,...)

We do not like science fiction.
Agnes´s favourite music is from a german band called: wise guys.
Michael is listening to nearly all kind of music (depending on the mood) except electronic.
Different books to get a differnt view on current social topics (economic, food, waste systems)

skydiving in Hungary; sauna, ice-swiming and northern lights in Lapland (Lapland) at -27°C; climb the active volcano Villarrica; do the inca trail and reach the machu picchu; be standing at the borders of the iguazu waterfalls...

Agnes can teach german, english, spanish and a lot of things about sports and keeping the body in shape.

I can tell you about processing and production of wood in Europe if anybody is interested in this field.

and of course we can talk about the austrian culture, food, way of living...
