Creating something new...
ABOUT ME
I had quite a rollercoaster ride the last few years. My first backpack trip to New Zealand in 2000 opened something totally new for me. Six weeks all by myself exploring a new Country, meeting new people, all day new impressions and not knowing what is going to come next. I had to toss many concepts, ideas and prejudices - just being with and acting on the very moment. All this was very well integrated when coming back home. I did more journeys like that, kept the openess towards people and everything new I faced. During those years I did a lot of sports. Judo, Aikido, Ju-Justsu, Climbing, Blading, Windsurfing, Taiji, Qi-Gong and other kinds of bodywork. At one point I started to wonder about the essence of the things I did and learnt as I realised contradictions in what trainers, teachers and literature said. I started to get deeper into those subjects myself, tossing belief systems, dogma and what science said. By that time I stumbled in New Zealand while looking for a chance to train some Aikido over another art-form called Cheng Hsin. This lead to a leap in my development, finding a way to study through authentic investigation. I spent a couple of weeks each year in the states for some intense training of Cheng Hsin. A training related to body, mind, interaction and consciousness. At one point I wanted to get deeper in understanding how the mind and reality works and so I got involved into very intense contemplation and meditation work. Investigating Mind, Self and Experience at an experiential level. In 2010 I quit my job. A little confused on where to go I started to collect what I learnt, experienced and knew to focus on something new. I studied NLP, worked with people in the personal growth domain and participated at a Trainer Programm which lastet 15 month. Including traveling through Thailand, China, Nepal and workshops at Lanzarote and Berlin. Inbetween I traveled on my own through Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. This is a little insight into what lead me to where I am now. Creating something new, something that comes from deep inside me and of which I am going to make a living aswell. This includes working with people, making and sharing experiences, meeting new people, traveling, learning and teaching. Enjoying what I do independent on indoctrinated limitations...
PHILOSOPHY
Be conscious of what you really want, delve deep into it, keep on track and don't forget to have fun with it. And there is stuff around it aswell... Be able to laugh about yourself. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd love to share experiences, meet new people and have new impressions. Hosting, being hosted or just meeting for a stroll and/or cafe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I surfed two couches, both were just amazing. In China I met three people for some sightseeing and cafe. Every person and every meeting so far was something I wouldn't like to miss.
Interests
Currently my main focus is on creating something that comes from deep inside me to make a living of. This includes growing myself as a person, working with people on personal growth and self-actualization, becoming clear on what one really wants and grounding it, making it real. I still love bodywork. No matter, as interaction on the mat, solo movement or relaxation/health related massage techniques. To includes all this while traveling is one part of what I create.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are a couple of books and authors I would consider to mention. To name a few: Herman Hesse, Peter Ralston, Stuart Emery, Joseph Heller... Very interesting to study books from the Human Potential Era of the 60/70th related to the Palo Alto group and/or Esaalen Institute. Gregory Batson, Timothy Leary. John Lilly, Milton Erickson... there are too many to mention. Another domain is Castaneda and Coelho.
Music related I am not really up to date... I liked Jack Johnson a lot when traveling in Australia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting me a backpack, a flight ticket and heading off to New Zealand on my own. - Bungee Jumping - Diving at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and at Similan Island in Thailand. - Trekking in Nepal. - A night at hot springs in an Rainforest. - Swimming with dolphins. - Contemplative investigation of the question "Who am I?" - Lecture in a hall fitting 600 people
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn from experience, mine and others. There are a lot of insights and experiences I love to share. Not just intellectually but experientially. In the field of bodywork and what we call life in general.
