ABOUT ME

I´m a person who can talk to almost anyone. That usaully brings me lots of fun and insight. Sometimes it can get on my friends nerves, but if I see a possible connection, why not talk to the old woman or the janitor in the hotel.
I´m involved in organisational work here in Greenland, working towards better conditions for musicians and the field as a whole. It´s an organisation for musicians in Nuuk, and one of the first goals is to form an union for all musicians in Greenland. Working from scratch, but it´s lots of fun and I´m learning a lot.

I´m a good listener and see myself as an empathic person. Christ, this sounds like an ad on a dating site but it´s the truth! :-)

Some would call me a patriot or a nationalist, but since Greenland needs young people with a strong opinion - now more than ever - it
does´nt bother me. We got of problems in Greenland but even more great opportunities as a country to just sit back and wait for someone to do something.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being here and hepling anyone who "drops by" Greenland. Telling my friends about CS and hopefully soon being a guest somewhere...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No one has yet to use me as a CS member, I should think this is because we don´t get many tourists travelling in Greenland, the way CS members do. Hopefully airfare prices wont stay as high, and someday more CS surfing people will come! No disrespect meant, but I really dont interact that well with cruiseship tourists and upper class pensioners.

Interests

I like to generate ideas, work on them, involve others and see them evolve!
I like to excersise and run on my bike in open air. I love to skate and snowboard. Do stencils in the middle of the night!
Taking photographs and listen to LIVE music. I like being with good friend and eating self provided (hunted) food directly from the sea or fjord.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, I love and always listen to music. On the iPod, at the office, on the radio, in nature... live.
I´ve been into heavy metal when I was younger, could fall asleep with headphones, listening to Metallica or Iron Maiden.
But a lot has happened since then. Now I like more quite and laid back music, mostly with the basic instruments:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was living in Durban, South Africa for 3 months, working during my education. South Africans are some beautyful people that I admire for their streangth. They reminded me a lot of my own people, the inuit, the way they interacted, saw the world and thrive to make a better place for their children. The whole stay and experience reminded me to be happy for what I´ve got. To be humble and happy to be alive!
