ABOUT ME
hi- my name is martina, I still studying after all these years -and a lot more and I live in Berlin, which is a great place to live, and the city that I do myself still enjoy very much to discover new places and aspects of living there now since three years. I am currently working on my dissertation, and I did a lot of traveling doing my research. This inspired me to join the couchsurfingn network - although it is too late for me to benefit from it as a guest for that time (At this moments, I am staying at a not so charming cheap hotel) as I think it is great to enable poeple to travel and to meet people in another city or place.
So some things about me (and this is always odd, I find); I am a open, friendly, funny, unconventional, social, and open-minded person. I am very interested in social issues and political questions. I like to be with other people, work together and organize things together, I love dancing and music (but i am not very good in intergrating that to my daily live, necessarily...), i like watching good movies, and sometimes stupid-funny tv shows...; i love to go to interesting cultural events like exihibitions and I like going for walks, going to cafés to have a piece of cake and to read..or to hang out in a bar with friends. I love going outdoors, e.g. spending my vacaction hiking or doing bike tours. I usually ride my bike to places. I also like to cook and to shop good food, which is probably more dangerous for me to 'waste' my money on than things like fashion.
I live together with my partner rob in an apartment in Berlin Neukölln.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: From Asian Dub Foundation via Bernadette la Hengst, Ladytron, and Mano Negra to Amanda Palmer.
Movies: I love good thrillers and excessive educational 3hr PBS documentaries.
Books: many different, liked Edgar Hilsenraths books, last book that really impressed me was Nicole Krauss: Man walks into a room.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
the most amazing: hiking up to a mountain top, being up there, enjoying the view, the fresh air...
or just sitting in a park on a little hill, watching the sunset over the city
