About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Too many goals, too little time!

ABOUT ME

I'm a creative, nature-loving person who lives to travel and thrives on adventure. I am deeply interested in spirituality, permaculture and roller derby and love to share my experiences with the world!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we are here to make a difference, each in our own unique way. I try my best to do no harm to anything living, respecting the environment and everyone on this planet.
I believe each and every person has a purpose. I aim to live my life in the most positive and upbeat way, to always be kind and compassionate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will offer my couch and hopefully inspire others to surf the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only couchsurfed a few times, once in Sri Lanka which was fantastic, and 2-3 times in Jordan. Also met quite a few couchsurfers along the way. I've mainly hosted while living in Dubai and through doing so have have met a few amazing people. I highly recommend couchsurfing to anyone who asks (and often if they don't haha).

Interests

Spirituality, personal growth, nature (hiking, camping, beauty, conservation, eco-friendly initatives, people and different cultures), writing, teaching, roller derby, permaculture/organic gardening, meditation, Vipassana, reading, health, fitness, mountain biking, snorkelling, hiking, I'm up for anything...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love comedies/series (Ghost Town, Southpark, The Office, Veep, Comedy Central, Community, Better off Ted, Parks and Recreation, Extras )then of course the favourites like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Ray Donovan etc) Action, Drama anything with a good plot and very convincing acting. Favourite movie of all time would have to be Lord of the Rings.
Books - too many to mention but I enjoy autobiographies/memoirs (Angela's Ashes, Running with Scissors etc), Personal Development (Steve Pavlina, Louise.L.Haye, Joe Vitale, Eckhart Tolle etc), comedy (Terry Pratchett, Ben Elton, Ben Trovata, PG Woodhouse), I'll read anything and everything.
Music - alternative - Pearl Jam, the Killers, Snow Patrol, Portishead, Morcheeba, Muse, Radiohead, REM, Prodigy, The National, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Dandy Warhols, Soundgarden, and many, many more....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many, how do you choose? I'm going to go with one of my most recent experiences, which was staying travelling through SA, Swaziland and Mozambique on a Vespa/LML scooter for 9 months and 15 000 km, with a tent, a backpack and a mission to visit as many eco-places, permaculture projects and community initiatives as possible, volunteering for Food & Trees for Africa and really just living life day by day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a high raw/vegan so I know a bit about health and diet.
I'm a permaculture facilitator, and can help with organic gardening, tree planting etc
I make a killer smoothie.
I'm a primary school teacher in training :0
I write - about travel, sustainability, whatever I can get my hands on (also some corporate stuff to pay the bills)
My partner and I love overlanding/camping adventures, planning a trip through Africa so love talking about that!
I'm interested in everything - and look forward to meeting interesting, intelligent people with stories to share
I do Roller Derby - I can take you skating or show you some craziness!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll make you smoothies and easily fit in with your plans/life. Share inspiration for travelling!
