the past ten years, i've spent most of my time away from thunder bay, volunteering on farms and other places.... mostly in BC and Quebec

i teach guitar and play concerts in bands/solo... and organize house concerts for touring musicians.... i busk now and then

I collect birch sap in the spring to make syrup... i've also worked at maple syrup businesses in gaspesie and north-eastern ontario

i am a willing worker on organic farms (and places other than organic farms)

i volunteer at the english school (esl) for adults and the ymca in north bay

i was friends with a great dog named scout for over ten years

i've been a member of the Outward Bound Canada community

i love community

i'm a wwoofer

i've helped to build tiny houses

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm participating by couch surfing, hosting, and randomly contacting people whose profile i find interesting

generally, i am drawn to folks who are into community, outdoor education, farming, outdoors, playing sports and music..... if you mention these things in your profile, it's likely i'll contact you if i'll be in your area.... that being said, i'm happy to meet people outside of these boxes, as well..... broaden our perspectives

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far, i've hosted one fellow at my house in thunder bay and several people and groups at my house in cap-chat... and one fellow, recently, in north bay

i've stayed for a few days with a hosts in quebec city, la baie, st-gedeon, montreal, vancouver, medicine hat, winnipeg, and north bay

i've also been introduced to couch surfers travelling through my town and have welcomed them and taken them around town.... PLEASE AT LEAST REPLY TO REQUESTS NO MATTER THE ANSWER and try to be in contact when plans change
