ABOUT ME

i am an optimistic and easy-going person. i am also respectful, honest, and reliable. i am not sure if listing more adjectives will really get across my personality so i will just say that i am looking for a meaningful adventure in life and would really enjoy meeting some fantastic and interesting people along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

i can only describe the philosophy i would like to follow while traveling by sharing one of my favorite quotes:we laughed and laughed, together and seperately, outloud and silently, we were determined to ignore whatever needed to be ignored, to build a new world from nothing if nothing in our world could be salvaged, it was one of the best days of my life, a day during which i lived my life and didn't think about my life at all. --extremely loud and incredibly close, jonathan safran foer.i want to embrace life, i want to live it, and i want to do this without spending too much time analyzing it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

UPDATE: i have now returned from my travels around europe and would like to live vicariously through those currently on the road!

this will be my second extended trip to europe and this time, i want to do it differently. couchsurfing, homestays, wwoofing, helpx, i am willing to put myself out there. my ultimate goal is to have a more intimate experience, stay in one place longer, and basically just attempt to gain a more introspective view of the world around me rather than take the whirlwind approach i applied last time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i was able to couchsurf once while traveling through europe and it was a fantastic experience. we had wonderful hosts who showed us around the city and provided generous accomodations. i would love to gain more experience, this time as a host. we have a great little apartment in a very lively part of minneapolis and would love to show people around our city.
