I studied International Studies and Business at the University of California San Diego. During my time there I spent two summers in Madrid and Berlin, and a semester in the Thammasat University Business program in Bangkok.

After working in tech in the San Francisco Bay Area for 3+ years, my fiancé Graham and I decided to put our careers on hold and travel for up to a year. We're starting the summer with some trekking in Europe, and plan to live more long-term, take courses, get diving certified, practice yoga and surf in Southeast Asia.

I've hosted several couch surfers in International House (international living community) during my time at university. Meeting and living alongside international students was a fantastic way to constantly challenge my ideas about different countries and become a citizen of the world.
