All about me? ... I like to travel a lot. I try to break out of the everyday hassle and seek adventures - abroad or down the road. I enjoy hitch-hiking and seeing new places, getting to know interesting cultures, learning languages and exploring cities or endless wilderness with just my backpack and my camera.

Languages mean a lot to me and I want to learn at least one non-European language, maybe Mandarin? Still figuring it out. So far, I learned English and French, and I also improved my Spanish quite a bit :)

I don't travel as much as I should - for a number of personal reasons - but I've done a fair amount of travelling during the last couple of years and find it hard adjusting to living in one place again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most users don't even bother to reply any more, this whole thing used to
be about sharing and active participation. Nowadays all I get are couch requests, but whenever I send them myself people don't even care to decline (let alone drop a short message) any more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I did some fair amount of traveling in Europe and down the East and West coast of the US.
The most amazing things in both places were the good people that I met.
Couchsurfing somehow made me a different person, much more outgoing, easy going and open minded.

Since 2015 I sailed all across the Baltic Sea, North Sea and even the arctic sea.
