About Me

Hi there, I am Morten, 22 years old. Originally from Cologne, currently studying in Aachen.

I like to do a lot of sports, mainly getting from one place to the other on my bicycle and I am a passionate climber/boulderer. I have also been volunteering as a bicycle mechanic back when I studied in Stuttgart. Also interested in hiking, yoga and wintersports. I can be motivated to many sports and activities. Usually, I am also down for a good beer :) also, not reachable during carnival – busy celebrating in Cologne

I've been at some places also for longer times (internship and studying abroad in Calgary, Canada; Dublin, Ireland and San Francisco, USA) and also travelling a lot through Europe either with a (purple-pink) camping car or interrail

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet people and not just places. Happy to exchange ideas and stories with others and get to know cities by activities together – not really a sightseeing person

Music, Movies, and Books

Sapiens – Yuval Noah Harari, Books by John P. Strelecky, Books by Jonas Jonasson, Some good sci-fi stuff (like Ender's Game, Dune)

Not watching too many movies but these have been very inspiring or touching and just catching and I would always watch them again: Good Will Hunting, Mudbound, Gilbert Grape, The Imitation Game, The cider house rules, Finding Forrester

Also for piano music (I playing the piano although more for myself than in front of others) The Tearsmith is awesome

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every year carnival in Cologne is amazing!!!
