About Me
“Let everything happen to you, beauty and terror, just keep going, no feeling is final.”
✅ WHO IS ME ?
The Couchsurfers would say: an AMBASSADOR of CS in Iraq.
For me, the real Ambassador who has the spirit of Couchsurfing, even if he’s new member on Couchsurfing or even without the orange badge.
Hello Couchsurfers,
I am Mohammed Talal, doctor, designer (specialist in brand identity), YouTuber (educational videos only), backpacker, professional chess player, and many others. The people around me would say: a multi-talented person.
I work as a Medical Doctor, medical representative for pharmaceutical companies, and graphic designer (brand identity).
I use Couchsurfing for connecting with people and sharing knowledge, culture, traditions, and skills. I’ll be very happy to share with you my skills! Always when I travel, I make CS meeting events to see more locals and having discussions together!
✅ HOSTING :
I can’t host now because of my busy working schedule in the hospital, only I can find a free time to meet up for a tea and playing billiards 🎱 “if you can play” or maybe we can walk around or explore the city together if I’ll have to time to do that. And you can ask me about anything in Iraq, I did all over Iraq many times and I went to all the places.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES ⚠️:
- If you’re within a group, only use ENGLISH Language, not other languages to speak with each others!
- I don’t accept invitations for eating food in a restaurant, if you’ll invite in a restaurant I’ll pay for my food, but I accept invitations for eating with your family and I’ll help you in cooking the food.
- During hangouts: bring with you a Water Bottle, let’s use less plastic bottles to help the environment!
- During hangouts: “Everything is shared”, I don’t want to take advantage on you!
- I respect the privacy of the people, let me know for not taking pictures with you if it’s not ok to you, and I don’t like the social media a lot!
- It’s a Couchsurfing platform, for connecting with locals and sharing knowledge, culture, and traditions, so please if you use this platform for another reason don’t send to me a message, or don’t accept my request to stay! Thanks for understanding!
- I like to meet with people that they’re different from me, and I like to building bridges with them.
✅ VISA ISSUES:
With Iraqi VISA you can go to all over Iraq including Kurdistan, but with Kurdistan Visa, only you’ll stay in Kurdistan region, not allowed to go to Federal Iraq unless you’ll get the Iraqi Visa. You can get your flight from Erbil to Baghdad and getting Visa on arrival in Baghdad airport “if you’ve EU passport”. Mosul is in Federal Iraq, not in Kurdistan.
✅ LGBT+ 🏳️🌈 ISSUES IN IRAQ:
It’s better to hide that if you’re gay or you’re a couple traveling together. Iraq is safe for you but you’ve to be cautious in a Muslim country and Iraq they hate the queer community! But there are lots of gays in Iraq by the way :)
For my opinion: Be who you’re! Do what you like to do without social pressure!
✅ SAFETY ISSUES:
If you had a bad experience with a Couchsurfer in Iraq, please let me know to help you! Also contact with the “Trust and Safety” of the Couchsufing:

✅ PHILOSOPHY:
- Be who you are! DO MISTAKES! Learn from your mistakes!
- Treat the people as you want to treat you.
✅ CURRENT MISSION:
Collecting “LIFE EXPERIENCES” within my notebook from the Couchsurfers, be ready to write on my notebook.
✅ VISION:
- Create connections between Iraq 🇮🇶 and the whole world 🌍
- Create connections between the Couchsurfers from all over the world 🌍

- There is no direct way from Duhok to Sulaymaniyah. You’ve to go to Erbil then to Sulaymaniyah.
