About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Inspiritainment. Stories and films that inspire others to seek their higher path.
ABOUT ME
I am a semi-retired teacher, my wife is a stained-glass artist and healer of animals. We live in a beautiful oasis home we built together. I have seen 48 states and many countries, but still feel a little wanderlust for places with oceans, especially New Zealand, Costa Rica and Hawaii. She grew up in Hamburg and has been around the world with a backpack.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a great adventure with many interesting maps. My favorites are film, psychology, science and world religions. Love is the most useful compass. Setting your path by it leads to beautiful places and wonderful people, and makes the present moment rich and deep.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We can host surfers who email or call at least a week in advance. Generally we keep to ourselves most of the day, but enjoy a late dinner with guests. I will be traveling for the first part of 2010.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My wife and I have been members of SERVAS, a similar organization to couchsurfing, for a couple of decades. We are a "host family" and every couple of months we provide friendly lodging for travelers, often from Europe. Dorina traveled around the world, staying with SERVAS members in other countries (especially New Zealand and Australia). Damian has couch-surfed for decades since college, but not with this organization until recently.
