ABOUT ME

PLEASE READ MY PROFILE BEFORE CONTACTING ME. I love music and the company of good friends. I usually spend my free time doing crafts, hobbies, just relaxing, and being generally goofy. You'll usually find me riding my bike to unknown destinations. Flaky people drive me insane. Speaking of which, please put food fight in the subject line on your message or somewhere in the body. Otherwise I will probably send you a message declining my couch. I have had far too many surfers request my couch with a cookie cutter message. I am gone for about 12 hours a day for work. Since I only have one set of keys, you will have to leave when I do and come back after I am home. I love dive bars, road trips, night swimming, and cooking for people. Just as a heads up, I keep my kitchen meat free. It is rare that I have fish or seafood around, but it happens from time to time. Please help keep my cooking area meat free, with the exception of seafood or fish. :)

PHILOSOPHY

You get what you give. I am always amazed at what the world has to offer, whether it is people, views, culture, food, traditions, or really just anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is strange how you can make instant connections with people from around the world. There is almost always one way to connect with strangers. That (at least) one thing in common. It blows my mind how nice people are who invite you into their home, or whom you invite into yours.

Interesses

I love almost everything that accompanies the outdoors. I camp, hike, snowboard, skateboard, rock climb, mountain bike, and swim to name a few things. I love cooking. If you're nice to me, I might even cook for you. Japanese food is my specialty. I am a craft addict. I make all sorts of jewelry and beaded projects. Especially on the loom. I love gem stones and do lapidary work. Hopefully soon I will learn silver smithing.

i usually listen to a lot of indie style rock (ie: The Books, Crystal Castles, Modest Mouse, Les Savy Fav, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, The Fruit Bats, The Blow, etc.) sometimes some hip hop (MF Doom, Jake One, A Tribe Called Quest, Jurassic 5, etc.)

Reading are great. I love Kurt Vonnegut, Bill Bryson, Sylvia Plath, and anything that doesn't involve business management.

The most amazing thing that I have done was the summer of 2010. I went on an amazing road trip for 2 months. It was 12,000 miles. I started in Seattle and drove to the top of Alaska. After that I drove to the Grand Canyon. Finally I came home. I went alone to collect my thoughts and slept in my car or my tent. I showered in rivers and lakes. I saw an astounding amount of wild life. I met some amazing people whom I am still in contact with.
