ABOUT ME

I would describe myself as someone that likes to get out and do things.

I listen to a lot of music. I play the drums and a bit of guitar; check out my YouTube channel @ http://www.youtube.com/user/moezff for my drumming videos. More recently, I've started to DJ as well, either alone or with my brother, which is tons of fun.

Road trips are one of the best ways of traveling- being able to see changing scenery, drive through different climates and meet people and share stories along the way. I also like to eat my way through a new place, trying a bunch of different food while exploring neighbourhoods.

Never back down from a challenge (I think?)

"I always wonder why birds choose to stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on earth. Then I ask myself the same question". That's one quote that hits pretty close to home!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love offering my sofa-bed (hooray for luxury options) to travellers to help facilitate their adventures. I haven't yet had my first surfing experience!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still somewhat new to CS in that I haven't surfed yet! But I still love hosting, offering my place to travellers, exchanging stories and learning (and teaching) about different cultures.

Centres d'intérêt

I spend my time making music, playing or watching football and hanging out with friends. I love challenges, and am always looking to take on new adventures. I enjoy cooking and yes, I'm one of those people that meal preps on Sundays. I stay active, so I like to workout or get out in nature for things like hiking, kayaking and so on. I watch some TV shows and movies too. Overall, pretty laid back and open to trying things!

I've gotten into podcasts recently and the ones I'm listening to right now are: Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience and Reply All.

I'm open to all sorts of movies, from horror to romantic comedies to indie. A couple of great TV shows I've watched recently are Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders, The Punisher and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Big fan of non-fiction books! Although, honestly, I find myself always looking for books to read but unable to decide on the right one, so if you have recommendations for novels, I'd love to hear them.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Traveling is always an amazing experience, and every new place I see goes down as something to remember. More specifically, driving across the US has been fantastic, flying to London to watch Arsenal v Tottenham was unforgettable, and spending four months in Paris was tremendous. Also, currently studying in Barcelona, which is pretty unreal.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I have a diverse background. I've grown up in Pakistan, lived in Canada, the US and Spain. I think the best way to learn about people is just to bounce ideas back and forth, to share thoughts, to have conversations. We all have a history, and I would love to learn about the lives of the people I visit - the culture, way of life, traditions, occasions.
