I like experiences—40 years from now I likely won't remember the time I sat on my butt on a beach and did absolutely nothing all week; but I will remember sledding down a volcano in the middle of summer or learning how to salsa from a nun in a church parking lot. Seeing new things is great, but I want to experience life, not just witness it.

Meeting a stranger at a diner, having a 7-hour conversation, and 2 years later being best friends.
Standing face to face with a black bear and somehow scaring him away
Standing face to face with a mountain lion and somehow scaring him away
Sleeping on a park bench in Rome at night while a homeless man slept underneath of the same bench, and having a conversation that neither of us could understand because we couldn't speak the same language
