About Me
Hey, I’m Deiab 👋
I’m a software engineer who’s passionate about exploring the world. Travel is the one thing that’s shaped me the most. I’ve been lucky enough to visit over 70 countries and fly more than 2 million miles. It sounds like a lot of airports, but for me it’s been about the people, the food, and the random moments in between.
I’ve shared tea with strangers in Jordan, gotten completely lost in Tokyo at 2am, played tennis in random cities just to meet locals, and eaten more street food than I can count. Each country has left me with stories, friendships, and perspectives I wouldn’t trade for anything.
I haven’t used Couchsurfing much yet, but I love the idea of connecting with people in a more genuine way than just hotels or hostels. For me, it’s less about a bed for the night and more about conversations, culture, and swapping experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Most of my favorite travel memories come from the people I’ve met along the way rather than the sights themselves. Couchsurfing feels like the best way to keep that spirit alive; connecting with locals, sharing meals, swapping stories, and seeing places through someone else’s eyes.
I haven’t used CS much yet, but I’d like to build more real connections while traveling. For me, it’s less about finding a free place to stay and more about the conversations, the laughs, and the cultural exchange.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Shot an RPG at a shooting range in Cambodia. Also — somehow managed to fly over 2 million miles without losing my passport once (though I came close in Manila).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a bit of coding, share Egyptian cooking (yes, I’ll make you koshari if you let me take over your kitchen), and definitely give some travel hacks after 2M+ miles of flying. In return, I’d love to learn about your culture, language, or favorite local food spot.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Respect for your space
Good company, stories, and laughs
A meal from my country
Curiosity and an open mind
