Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Mohcine Maarouf, and I’m a 27-year-old from Casablanca, Morocco. I’m an open-minded and curious person who loves connecting with people from different cultures. I'm always eager to share stories, learn new perspectives, and explore the beauty of human connections. I recently started a new chapter in my life by moving to France for work, and I’m excited to discover more of this beautiful country and its people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing because I believe it’s more than just a way to find a place to stay—it’s a gateway to meaningful experiences and lifelong friendships. Traveling for me isn’t about visiting landmarks; it’s about sharing meals, laughter, and conversations that leave a lasting impact. Whether hosting or surfing, I’m here to connect, learn, and grow through shared experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
Travel & Culture: I love learning about new places, traditions, and cuisines. Exploring new cultures and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds is what inspires me the most.
Music: I enjoy listening to a mix of genres, from rock to jazz and R&B. Music is a universal language that I believe brings people together.
Movies, Cinema, and Photography: I’m a big fan of inspirational stories, whether told through films, books, or photographs. Some of my favorite reads include The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and the works of Albert Camus. Capturing moments through photography is also something I enjoy as a creative outlet.
Cooking: Sharing a meal is one of the best ways to connect. I love cooking Moroccan dishes and experimenting with local recipes wherever I go. Food has a unique way of bringing people together, and I’m always up for trying something new!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to France for work has been an incredible experience so far. The journey has taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone to pursue my dreams.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you how to make delicious Moroccan dishes like couscous or tagine, and share insights into Moroccan culture and history.
Learn: I’m currently learning French and English, so I’d love to practice these languages with you!
Share: Great conversations, my travel stories, and a glimpse into the Moroccan way of life.
