About Me

I'm a very easy going person and love to learn new things. Obviously, I love traveling but that’s probably everyone on CS. I recently traveled around the world (15 countries in 40 days) and met really amazing people from all walks of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience the world and the PEOPLE that live in it!

Everyone quotes Mark Twain’s saying “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness…” but in my opinion, it’s not a passive thing. It’s not guaranteed that if you travel, you’ll become more open-minded. It takes real effort, effort to meet, talk, understand and empathize with different people in their daily lives around the world. And I think that’s why I’m on couchsurfing, because it lets me meet not just travelers but people living their regular lives in their own communities.

Interests

I like reading nonfiction books like biographies/history. Enjoy photography, road trips, intellectual conversations where I learn new things

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Coldplay, John Mayer, the Temptations, country, hip hop and anything that makes me sing along. I love to listen to music from all over the world, love Spanish, Arabic, Bollywood and some Korean songs.

Movies: Forrest Gump, Enemy at the Gates, Something About Mary

Books: Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Landed a (small) plane on an extremely short runway all by myself on my first solo cross country flight ✈️

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can help you improve or practice your English (if that is what you’re interested in).

Learn: I want to host or travel like a student and not a tourist. I want to learn about different cultures, cuisines and simple day to day life in the places I visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you need to practice your English skills, I can help with that. I’m a random history “fun facts” kinda guy lol. So I can tell you a little bit about a lot of stuff! Gathering some interesting stories from my travels around the world, maybe you’d be interested in that?

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States
