About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to give the world a hug and the easiest way to do that is via sound, so Itravel when I can and share myself through song.

ABOUT ME

I am an easy-going girl who is always ready to say "yes" to an adventure. I can play the part of "house guest" or "hostess" well and am happiest when I get to meet new people and learn about their views of the world. I treat everyone like family and do my best to make you feel like an old friend who is in town for a visit.

I am tall, I keep things clean, I like to cook and would rather eat pie than cake.

I love music and I have dreams of singing at the top of Mt. Everest... or just a really big hill. I am usually laughing or smiling, life is far too short to spend it having a terrible time so I try to find joy in everything.

I sing for strangers, smile at children, and sigh in my sleep.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others with kindness for heaven is watching.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to offer up my couch to touring bands and any out-of-towners who may need a nap or a meal before they get back on the road. I sold my house in Houston, so I no longer host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted travelers, students, artists, and touring musicians. I have also been the happy surfer while traveling in Ireland. I saw the cliffs and the other side of the Atlantic, took in some jazz and drank with Swedes amongst Superheroes, sang in the sunshine with a couple of my favorite musicians, and met some top-notch folks!

Interests

I love music and the arts. Currently collaborating on a few different musical projects in Scandinavia and Texas. I enjoy spending time with friends over a nice meal and wine or trying my hand at some outdoor activity. My favorite topics of conversation varies from socio-economics, fashion, food, music and politics/religion... there is never a wrong answer just mutual respect and sharing your opinion.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy new experiences and try to give everything two chances before I say "this isn't for me"... same rule applies to music, food and books (and people).

I love: Malbec, spicy food, bbq'd Oysters, everything from jazz to electronica, fiction/non-fiction if it is well-written I will enjoy it, I do not like Rom-Coms (but i secretly like Rom-Coms). HA!

books: Song of Solomon, Dune, Invisible Monster

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sang with Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder on my birthday in 2012, true story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to make barbeque and have a pretty delicious recipe for a Sweet Tequila and Lime Sauce.

Let's dance, sing and make merry!
