I’m a high school English teacher taking a year off to reconnect with things I love. Traveling! Music! Writing! Nature! I care a lot about the things that I do-- even if I don't always do them astonishingly well-- and about the people in my life. I consider myself very open and am quick to befriend people, which is handy because i think that sharing time with others is what makes life bearable.

music: I love shitty pop music, as well as hip hop, blues, jazz, bossa nova, folk, funk... good music makes me believe in the ultimate benevolence of the universe, which is a pretty nice feeling.
books: Lucan´s De Bello Civili, anything by Kurt Vonnegut, David Foster Wallace´s essays, the three body problem by Cixin Liu
movies: i particularly like movies about people robbing things from casinos, and nature documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This fall I worked on a conservation corps trail crew in Tennessee, living in the woods and fixing trails all season
