About Me
ABOUT ME
I love to explore this beautiful planet, experience its endless delights and meet its weird inhabitants.
I’m a lifelong artist. Painting, drawing, sculpting, performance, embroidery, jewelry making, etc excite me beyond measure.
I've spent the majority of my life in Salt Lake City, hiking up granite mountains in the summer and fall and snowboarding down them in the winter and spring.
I dream of sailing and bicycling around the world.
I also dream of having a huge farm and donation-based restaurant with all my friends with a whole house just for hosting couch surfers.
(I want to do too much)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, I have only been hosted by others, and it has been extremely great. I'm working on making space to host others so I will hopefully be able to pay it forward soon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During our week in Japan, my brother Ted and I tried Couchsurfing for the first time. We were taken in by four different wonderful hosts. I was astounded by the warmth and generosity we were welcomed with, and our hosts enhanced our trip in so many ways. I am now convinced couchsurfing is the best way to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music. I can play the concert flute, some guitar, and love to drum while singing. Let’s jam.
I’m currently reading Theft By Finding by David Sedaris.
A new favorite film I saw recently was Y Tu Mama También.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once performed an impromptu cover of “Ain’t Nuthin But a G-Thang” by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre onstage with my brother for a crowd of about 200 Vietnamese people in a small town in Vietnam. They hated it!

Teach, Learn, Share
Learning new languages is my favorite way to stimulate my brain, even if it’s just a few sentences that I may soon forget.
I could teach you how to figure skate, snowboard, drive a manual transmission vehicle, french braid, play the flute, dumpster dive, grow tomatoes, among other things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to cook simple, yet complex, healthy, tasty vegan food. I can wash up a pile of dishes real nice, share conversation with you, make an unsightly portrait of you and your family.
