Hi!
I am 21 year old American from Wisconsin who is studying abroad in the UK for the Spring 2015 semester. I am a Marketing major who loves a good run, cooking/baking, pinterest, chocolate, traveling, volunteering, and meeting new people. As much as I enjoy the touristy attractions, I came abroad to meet new people and explore new cultures. I like to keep busy whether it's hiking through nature or chatting with someone new in a coffee shop.

I want to do more than touristy things, I want to meet locals and see what they have to say about the area. I think the best way to learn about the culture is to be immersed in it! That's exactly what I intend to do during my 4 short months in Europe.

I enjoy a lot of the main stream music, "Top 40" like Beyonce and Ed Sheeran... but I am a 90s child, so artists like Dave Matthews and Matchbox 20 are great too.

I just read Gone Girl and loved it. The Help, Defending Jacob. I like borrowing good books from friends and would like to read for leisure more often but it's hard to find time with school work!

I've gone sky diving twice, whitewater rafting and ziplining in Costa Rica, ran 2 half marathons and a full marathon, participated in the tough mudder.

I know the value of hardwork and money since I've worked since 14 years old. I intend to make the most of my study abroad experience with an open mind. I also hope to gain a more "global mindset" which would help me greatly in the real world after graduation with my future business career!
