I am a hot sauce loving adventurer who thrives on making connections with people! I'm from Vermont in the US so I love to be in nature, but am also always down for nights filled with board games or live music. I live to try and experience new things and am eager to share stories with people with different backgrounds. I'm very easy going and am looking to discover the nooks and crannies of cities and towns, and have some nice chats over good food too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently graduated with my M.A. in International Development and am eager to leave the school setting/academic mindset to work with my hands farming in France this summer. This also means I have loads of student loans and can't afford hostels/hotels in France. I have always loved to travel independently and converse with people with new perspectives, so couchsurfing seems like a perfect way to do that. I also studied French so I am traveling this summer to really immerse myself with the languange and culture - so I am very excited to hang out with local people!

I love funk music (Parliament, James Brown, Lettuce, Rubblebucket), folk/bluegrass (Devil Makes Three, Greensky Bluegrass), and pop R&B/rap (Jamila Woods, Eryka Badu, SZA, noname, Anderson Paak), also jazz, electronic, and any new finds! As far as TV/Movies, I love Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, Blue Planet, and 80s rom coms. For books, my favorite authors/poets are Ray Bradbury, Chimamanda Adichie, Ta-Nehisi Coates and Mary Oliver.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my drawing/caricature skills, English language learning, earring making, piano, hula hooping, cooking, acrobats/acro yoga. Mostly, I would love to share a pot of tea and stories!
