About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a graduate student at the University of Georgia. I'm pursuing my master's in teaching. If all goes as planned, I'll be a certified secondary English teacher by the end of this year! I'm currently student teaching at a middle school in Madison, GA and love it. I'm friendly, open, and spend a lot of my energy on others. I love to bake, sew, go thrift shopping, read, write, spend time with friends, etc. I own far too many books and yet still cannot seem to stop accumulating them. I would not call myself a seasoned couchsurfer, but I have only ever had positive experiences with hosting and staying with others.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy can be explained in two quotes, the first comes from the title of one of my favorite poems (by Jesus Papoleto Melendez), and the second is from Kurt Vonnegut:
"OYE MUNDO TÚ ERES BONITO!!!" (Listen world you are beautiful!)
"A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I should be able to host most days now since we finally got a guest bed. I live with roommates, though, so it's not entirely up to me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done lots of hosting for friends or friends of friends, and I know people who have used the site before and had really great experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like lots of movies, music and books. It's impossible for me to pick favorites, so I'll go with current favs. For music, I can't stop listening to Chance the Rapper and Haley Bonar. As far as books go, I love any and all YA lit. All the Bright Places, Eleanor and Park, they all break my heart. And I love them still.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This may sound crazy, but I used to live in an apartment right next to train tracks, and one day there was dead opossum. No big deal, right? Well, there was a lot of commotion, and it turns out the opossum was pregnant. Some of the folks from the coffee shop downstairs took it upon themselves to deliver the opossum babies. I was in awe.
