About Me
ABOUT ME
I am open-minded and looking for more adventure. I have my fun in Chicago, my home base. Today I went to an African market in Uptown. I bought some ogbono and got some vague directions on how to use it. That was more than enough for me to go on. Most of my traveling is like this: in the confines of my city. Couch surfing is my way of branching out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going to travel a tad bit on my own, and I want to get an insider perspective while I go.
Interests
Dancing in all forms, especially my big three: swing family dances, tango family dances, and latin family dances. I like nature, especially wildlife. I like food, especially making it. I like movies, especially when I can practice my Spanish in the process of viewing them. I like music, especially live. I'm pretty easy going about trying something new.

Music, Movies, and Books
biographies and nonfiction - Beryl Markham's West with the Night, Golda Meir by Golda Meir, Justice (after the Michael Sandel lectures), the Tao Te Ching, Khalil Jibran's The Prophet, Apollo's Angels
I play a lot of music on shuffle or its equivalent. Making a playlist involves a lot of my concentration. It usually has Latin music and jazz.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I learned the frog calls for every species in my region so I could track their populations.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a harmonica song. Then we can jam if we stay in the key of C.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook. I'll help and do things in your style. I'm a pro at cooking in other people's kitchens. Then, I do the dishes while they kick back and anticipate the hot tea that I brew.
If that doesn't work for you, I can help around the house. The more I learn about you specifically, the more I'll be able to reciprocate.
