I'm endlessly curious. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, learning about and discovering the world through travel. I am a musician, a scientist, a linguist, and a kid at heart.

Intereses

I enjoy being outdoors and experiencing nature--hiking, cycling, rock climbing, etc. I will rarely turn down a good book or a strong cup of coffee or the chance to have a good conversation. Anything involving languages or medicine catches my eye.

When I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize, I accompanied several medical teams to rural villages as a translator for day clinics. One such surgical team was gracious enough to teach me how to remove stitches and nasal splints. I had the opportunity to witness the first breath of several people who had never breathed through their noses, to be a part of making that happen. The wonder and awe that plays across those faces cannot be compared to anything I have experienced before or since.
