I'm 27 years old and was born and raised in Germany. I've finished my bachelor degree in business and economics at university in Leipzig and continue my studies with a master in supply chain management at FSU Jena. During the last years I lived abroad twice so far. First in Ireland for 13month and recently in China, Beijing for 8 month as an overseas student.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I found out about this project actually years ago. A friend of mine used it a lot during her travels and met a lot of great people. Its a nice opportunity not to just travel the country but also learn something about their culture and habits. And the best way to do so, is to meet locals.
My own experience is so far very limited. As I haven't tried it yet myself, but in the future I want to contribute more.

Interests

I am very into travelling, seeing new places, getting to know new people and learning their language as well as learning something about their culture.
Besides this I also like reading and doing sports (no extreme sport - more the soft kinds of sport like yoga, running, cycling and hiking).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: its kinda mixed cause I like Indie Rock and Balkan music, but also the golden oldies and some electronic music as electro swing.

Books: currently I am reading "The Cuckoo's Calling" from Robert Galbraith

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What I recently did was teaching english to chinese kids in a more rural district. They were really keen on learning new words and get to know more about my country and culture as well as showing me their culture. I really enjoyed it and it was much fun!

I really like listening to travellers stories cause thats they way to learn something new about hidden destination or places you should visit. Vice versa I am very keen on giving travel advices myself and share my stories.
