Hi,
My name is Monica Rincon from Mexico. I'm 45 years old, I'm a wife and mother of two young adults of 21 and 23. I work as an English teacher and this has given me the oportunity to meet people from different countries that have been teachers here too. As a good Mexican I'm friendly and welcoming, and my husband is the most sociable person I know, so that makes us good hosts. I like to spend time at t the beach or at a nice quiet place and have some wine or beers with my husband and friends. Ensenada, where I live, is a small quiet city by the seaside, people here are great people and the city has plenty of places to do different kind of activities, it's really near Tijuana a very vibrant border city, known as the busiest border in the world and it is about one and a half hours from San diego, which I think is one of the prettiest cities in the US. We have excellent weather pretty much all year round, so any time is a good time to visit the city, there are beautiful vineyards and good wineries and the beach is breathtaking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to travel around the world and visit not just tourist spots but also those special places that locals know and prefer. And I'm also keen on meeting people of different countries and culture and from my own country as well. I have some space in my home so I could receive guests

I enjoy entertaining friends, I like to go out on weekends to quiet bars or some coffee shops to have a cup of coffee with my husband and friends, and sometimes dance at a nice club, and love going to a good movie with my daughter.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like pop music and some rock too. I particularly enjoy action and funny movies, and about books I'm not very knowledgeable of authors or genders so I read what my friends or students recommend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazin things I've done is manage to raise two wonderful, really smart, cute children who are now 21 and 23, and I've learned a really advanced level of English all by myself despite never taking any classes, and also taught my kids who speak perfect English.

I don't know if there's something special that I could teach, but there is certainly a great deal of things I'd love to learn from my guests.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could offer a bedroom for my guests to stay on weekdays and when my son comes back home for the weekend, I have an inflatable matress, they could obviously use the kitchen and bathroom. I can sometimes take them out to places in and out of the city in my free time. I'd rather host couples or women, and as a guest I'd also ask for a nice clean place to sleep, a sofa, inflatable matress, and it'll be wonderful if they can offer a bedroom and shower.
