I'm a mother, crafter, homesteader and small scale farmer in Oregon. I'm new to couch surfing, but my family has hosted travelers in the WWOOF program at our previous home. My background is in ecological restoration and native plants.

I think we can have a more rich understanding of a place through meeting and staying with locals. I like going to fewer places and understanding more about them when I travel. I also think that we all benefit from being involved in non-commercialized ways of meeting people and building community.
