About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting to know new people, exchanging knowledge and experiences, practicing languages and having a good time in the company of interesting and pleasant people!
ABOUT ME
I was born in Brazil but always dreamed about travelling the whole world!! I've studied Marketing and Psychology, worked as an English teacher and as a Marketing Researcher. I also did internships and vonlunteered at elderly homes. I'm easy-going and a people person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As I share an apartment with other people, I can't offer my couch, but I am open to meet new people and to share knowledge and experiences!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't used CS for travelling, but I have been to plenty of the CS meetings and had a great time!
Interests
I love travelling and getting to know new places and new people, learning about their culture and tasting their food! I really enjoy going out for drinks or eating out with my friends.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: The Artist, The Iron Lady, Departures, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (most recently seen and that I think are worth watching); Closer, La piel que habito, Black Swan, Cine Paradiso, La vita è bella (my preferred from all times!)
Music: I'm very ecletic and love finding out new music. My preferred styles are MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), pop and dance music. But I also love Indian and Turkish music.
Books: I've been reading a lot of Psychology stuff for my tesis, but one of the latest non-psy books that I read and liked a lot was "El imperio eres tú", which was written by a Spanish writer who tells the History of Colonial Brazil. Very interesting!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Air balloon ride in Capadocia (Turkey); boat ride in the Ganges river (India); safari (South Africa); went all the way up the Basilica di San Pietro (Vaticano) and La Sagrada Familia (Barcelona).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: how to speak Portuguese, cook "brigadeiros" (yummy chocolate candies very typical in Brazilian birthday parties) and basic samba steps!
I would like to learn how to: speak French, sing and play a music instrument.
I could share: some recipes that I have been trying lately.
Countries I’ve Visited
Angola, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, France, India, Italy, Netherlands, Paraguay, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United States, Uruguay
Countries I’ve Lived In
Brazil, Spain, United States
