Hi there!

My name is Monika and I am from the Czech Republic – a very small country in the heart of Europe with many historic cities and beautiful nature. Traveling has always been my passion and my dream. That is why I decided to quit my 9-5 job and move across the world to Canada. I am new to Couchsurfing and to the world-traveling. But everyone was once a beginner before becoming an expert, right? ;) For me this is just the beginning of my journey of learning about the world and myself.

I love reading, yoga, good and healthy food, hiking and mountains. In the winter I enjoy skiing and in the summer I love to ride my bike or go for a run. I also love taking photographs and watching great movies. And if you want to make me happy, just give chocolate and coffee ;) There is nothing more I need.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I am travel I want to know more about the country or the city than what is written in the guides. I want to know the culture and the way people live there. I don't want to be just a tourist. That is why I decided to try Couchsufring.
