ABOUT ME

I am Austrian ...but married to an Ozzie bloke for nearly 4 years now. We live in Vienna / Austria but Australia is my second home. Unfortunately we can only visit every 2 years or so ... but when we make our way over from the other side of the earth we try to make the most of it! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Foremost I participate with my determination to not just visit a country as a tourist but to try and get a clue about what's really going on there. Tell me your stories, show me your special places ... and I will appreciate it!

As I am currently being forced to stay where I "officially" belong to ..to get some things done, I can only participate as your travel guide if you want to vistit vienna or beautiful upper austria!

Unfortunately, I can't afford a big flat with an additional bedroom or living room ... that's why I can't offer my couch!
Though I do have a mattress and a corner! ;o) ...But I guess you prefer a proper accommodation!

But If you would like to catch up for a coffee and a tour around Vienna ... it'd be a pleasure!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first contact with couch surfers happened through one of their awesome hosts: Dan McHugh! He invited me and some friends on his farm for a unforgetable weekend ..and helped creating a precious memory about real Australian lifestyle!
He also hosted a couch surfing party in February! Awesome event with a lot of cool people!
That's it for the moment ..but I hope to gather more experience and be host myself in the future!

Interests

Nothing too exciting I fear. Travelling, I guess, is one of my passions ...along with many other things like gardening, reading, hiking,.... trying to speak 2 languages keeps me busy aswell!

Just for entertainment: a lot of fantasy (yeah ..I've read them all .. HP 1-7), nearly all Coelho's, certain classics - both: German and English ...

Movies: One of my all time- favourites: Eternal sunshine in a spotless mind. OR: recently seen: neverwas, the science of sleep (awesome!!)

and lots more!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmmm .... i don't know if you could call it "amazing" .. but really unforgettable for me was:

feeding sparrows in front of notre dame / paris ... walking on the old city walls of Lucca in a warm full-moon - night... visiting megalithic stone circles in Irland ... 2 Interrail- journeys through Italy, France, Netherlands, England, Scottland and Ireland... so far 2 Roadtrips along the australien eastcoast ..!
