About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The world's history is the link between the past and the future. There's almost nothing you can do about it. Creating you personal history instead seems to be the best experience of your life.

ABOUT ME

I am 30-years-old working on some late medieval manuscripts. I have just got my PhD degree in Philosophy. I love traveling, especially to the places with an interesting history, I also like visiting museums and generally taking part in cultural activities like exhibitions, concerts or theatre plays.

I am an open-minded person with a great curiosity of different people and their cultures.

Normally, I tend to travel with my boyfriend, but sometimes it is necessary for me to travel solo for academic reasons. That's the way I like it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting new people, sharing experience with them and - if possible - cook together.

I am still learning some new languages, so it gives me a lot of opportunity to practice them too.

And, last but not least, I admire the fact that CS members know their cities much better than any potential bookguides - their travelling tips are usually priceless for me.

So I'm very flexible when it comes to being a guest. I know that you're busy and have other things going on. It also seems that some hosts want to spend a lot of time with their surfer and others are happy to offer them a place to stay but don't have much time to socialize. I'm perfectly happy either way.

Interests

My interests include history, art, some cultural experience, movies, books, traveling, photography and many more. I like learning new things and practicint those I have already learned.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music: good, old rock (eg. Deep Purple, Queen, Guns'n'Roses, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones), metal (eg. Metallica, System of a Down), folk (mainly European bands like Valravn, Cechomor, Beltaine, Antonio Castrignano, Kroke, Żywiołak). I have strong fondness for "old-fashioned" sung poetry and singers like Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel and some Polish poetry singers (Marek Grechuta, Grzegorz Turnau, Michał Bajor)

Favourite books: "The Name of the Rose" Umberto Eco, "The Pillars of the Earth" Ken Follett, "One Hundred Years of Solitude" Garcia Márquez and The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski

Favourite movies: "Underground" directed by Emir Kusturica (I like almost all of his movies but this one is special for me), "Wild stories" directed by Damián Szifrón (one of the best black commedies I've ever seen). I like attending Art houses and watching independent films, especially Italian and Spanish ones.
